Our Academy originated in Venezuela, specifically in Valencia in 2002. Over 2,000 students have been trained under the Matisa brand, making it the largest academy in the country by 2011, with over 600 students enrolled across its three locations. 

Under the direction of International Teacher Matisa, who has more than 25 years of experience as an educator and has been trained by renowned Egyptian masters, our academy has become a leader in the field. In addition to being a dance teacher, Matisa is a producer of high-level artists and shows, discovering talents and creating over 30 musical works that blend oriental dance with theater since 2005. Matisa established its branch in the United States in Doral in 2018. Our goal is to empower women through Arabic Dance, exploring their femininity and sensuality without falling into vulgarity, connecting soul and heart to the rhythm of oriental music. It is a space where you can relax and simultaneously feel free, happy, and harmonious with yourself, without judgment, learning to accept and recognize yourself as the wonderful human being you are. Our teacher is a spiritual being who fills each class with positive energy. She also incorporates yoga stretches and aromatherapy to empower and relieve you from the daily stress you experience.
